Polkast won't update or reinstall

I initially installed and used Polkast with the previous version.  It worked great and I loved the program and was able to see all my documents on my iPhone.  The problems started when the update came out for the Windows program several months ago.  The update would not load or work and it kept saying that the polkastsetup.msi program could not be found. I tried a search on my computer, but the file was not on my computer. So I thought no problem, I'll just uninstall Polkast and reinstall the newer version. Once the new Polkast was installed it would not work at all and I would just get a message that Polkast stopped working and Windows was looking for a solution to the problem.  Then I noticed that my Windows updates for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 were not installing either.  I went to the Microsoft site and fixed that problem and got the .NET updates working.  Now I've tried reinstalling Polkast again with no luck.  I then uninstalled and went through and cleaned out the registry using CCleaner and a Microsoft install and uninstall troubleshooter program FixIt.  Polkast still will not work on my computer.  When I go through the install program it immediately says that Polkast has stopped working and Windows is looking for a solution.

If I can't get a solution to fix this soon I'm not going to put any more effort into making it work and look for another program to share my files on my iPhone.

Thanks for any help

Hi Allen,

I would try to create another user account and see if it will install from that user. If it does then check from your account, if its still not working then go into safe mode and uninstall it this will uninstall it from all users, then reinstall it on your account. More than likely your account is corrupted if you had to use cc cleaner to clear the items out.

There are more advanced items for regarding the registry like the uninstall string for the MSI, You can then get the binary and put it in the location it specifies and then try to uninstall it again.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

From this location you would have to check each hive for the correct product. Its likely listed under product polkast or something like that. You would execute the UnisntallString from a run prompt.

You also failed to mention which version of windows you are using.
